Warning of scams against older people – HMRC

The police have made repeated warnings and now HMRC are urging tax payers to be on alert for a scam aimed at older people.

The phone message, claiming to be from a Scottish telephone number, is designed to frighten targets to contact the caller.

The recorded call claims legal action is being taken against the person tax payer and they have just one final chance to rectify the situation.

But the whole thing is a con.
